NC State Director of Athletics Debbie Yow presided over the ceremony, after which the NC State soccer programs conducted a youth clinic.</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">&quot;The addition of the WTC facility will make a huge impact in many areas of our program,&quot; said NC State women's coach&nbsp;<a href="http://www.gopack.com/sports/w-soccer/mtt/springthorpe_steve00.html" style="outline: none; color: rgb(229, 24, 54); text-decoration: none; ">Steve Springthorpe</a>. &quot;To have a on-campus training facility within a short walking distance from our locker room, game field and our offices will give our players and staff the ability to train at the highest level and give us more time to prepare and provide a better student athlete experience.</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">&quot;I am confident in saying that our practice facility is one of, if not the best in the ACC, and will rival any within the NCAA membership schools.&quot;</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">&quot;The WTC is one of the best facilities in the country,&quot; said NC State men's coach&nbsp;<a href="http://www.gopack.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/findley_kelly00.html" style="outline: none; color: rgb(229, 24, 54); text-decoration: none; ">Kelly Findley</a>. &quot;We create a professional environment in training, and expect our players to be excellent. The training facility has helped us create this environment, and will help our players to develop as individuals and as a collective group. The details that we were able to include set the facility apart.&quot;</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">Those details include: an electronic gate so players can have access to train individually anytime, a storage area with equipment for them to use, top of the line Kwik Goal goals and training equipment, 50 foot nets behind the goals, artificial surface that is FIFA approved world class level, and a bermuda grass surface that is the same dimensions as the game field to aid the teams in training.</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">Both head coaches made it a point to not only thank Yow, but also, Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director Chris Kingston, Associate AD Barry Joyce, Assistant AD Ray Brincefield and Associate AD Sherard Clinkscales for their numerous hours in planning and designing and overseeing the WTC project.</p><p style="outline: none; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">The NC State athletics administration has demonstrated the commitment to Wolfpack Soccer and both squads look forward to achieving their goals. Lassiter graduated from North Carolina State and was one of the Red Bulls&rsquo; two second round picks in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.</p><p>&ldquo;We believe that Tyler has a bright future ahead of him and are excited to come to terms with him,&rdquo; said Red Bull New York General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. &ldquo;He is a very smart and technical player who can add depth to our back line.&rdquo;</p><p>Lassiter, 21, joins the Red Bulls after being drafted in the second round (No. 30 overall) in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. A central defender at NC State, Lassiter led the Wolfpack in goals scored (six) and all other offensive categories (six assists, 18 points) his senior year.
